Why say this is impossible?

Have you not heard before that with God all things are

possible? Jesus looked at them and clearly said "with man, this is

impossible but with God, all things are possible"(Matt 19:26) 'all

literally means 'all'. Jesus did not say "with God, some things are

possible". Jesus also did not say "with God, most things are

possible". He clearly used the word "all". Why then do we keep

doubting God's capabilities?  The main reason we say "it is

impossible" is because we are still trying to use our mere human

brain to understand the process of God's supernatural power. God's

power is called 'supernatural' for a reason. If we want to

understand supernatural miracles done by God, then we might as

well have supernatural minds like God. Creation itself is proof of

the creator. In other words, the existence of the world itself is real

evidence that God exists; else who created the world? So if you

deny that something is possible just because you can't understand

it, then you should deny the creation and existence of the world;

which is impossible because the world actually exists. For

those(my atheists friends) who deny the existence of the world

claiming that the world took place as a result of science, my

question is "can you explain how science created the world?" And

even if you can explain that, do you honestly understand how it

happened? My guess is that your answer is "No". I believe no one

in his right mind actually understands how science could have

created the universe. So the bottom line is that the creation of the

world is a mystery, a mystery which christians will call a miracle

If the creation is a mystery, then nothing is impossible with the

creator(God the father).

*With God vs to God:

Now, I would love for you to please pay attention to what I am

about to say. Permit me to address another issue which pastor

Benny Hinn once explained. The question he once asked was "why

does the Bible not say 'to God, all things are possible' but it instead

says ''with God, all things are possible"? That is a very smart

question and this was his explanation. 'To' will mean that God can

do all things by himself alone. 'With' will mean that we need to be

with God in order for all things to come true. It is but obvious that

"to God, all things are possible" because He created the universe

alone(one trinity). So, in order to experience miracles in our lives,

we need to be with God; because with Him, miracles in our lives

will take place; but to Him, His miracles take place to and around

Him alone. That is because we don't have supernatural powers and

so we need to connect with His supernatural powers for the extra

ordinary things to take place in our lives. Therefore, to God, all

things are possible to God alone but with God, all things are

possible with us(who are connected with Him). I am sorry for the

little complication there but I hope you understood the main point.

We must always keep in touch with God to experience all what He

promised us(love, peace of mind, joy, success, hope, resurrection,

eternal life in Heaven, etc.)

Nothing, I repeat 'nothing' at all is impossible with God(Lk

1:37). You know, sometimes we think we have fully understood all

scriptures in the Bible merely because we have read the Bible over

and over. But the truth is that there is more understanding to every

verse in the Bible, more than you know.  Every statement has more

than one meaning behind it, and it is only a matter of time before

you discover the other meanings. Have you not noticed that every

time you read a familiar story or watch a familiar movie, you find

out something new? Have you not also noticed that every time you

read a verse in the Bible and meditate on it, you discover a new

meaning to it? That is called 'spiritual revelation'. We think we

know the Bible but there is a difference between 'mere knowledge'

and 'spiritual revelation'. Spiritual revelation often comes with

meditation and a willingness to know more. When you think about

someone over and over, it is called ‘worry’ but if you think about

God’s word over and over, it is called 'meditation'. Therefore we

need to meditate on biblical phrases to understand the numerous

meanings behind those phrases. Therefore, if you meditate on (Lk

1:37), which clearly says “for with God nothing shall be

impossible”, you will discover that ‘nothing’ in here means

absolutely nothing on earth. 'Nothing' as in no impossibility with

financial difficulty, no impossibility with finding a good spouse,

no impossibility with having a child(barren or not), no

impossibility with getting a good job, no impossibility with getting

healed from a terminal sickness(cancer or HIV), no impossibility

with changing people’s lives, no impossibility with a peace of

mind, no impossibility with joy and happiness. No impossibility at

all. Nothing literally means 'nothing'.  The angel Gabriel told

Mary(mother of Jesus) that nothing is impossible with God(Lk

1:37). Mary got pregnant without having anything to do with her

husband Joseph. How do you explain that? Is it humanly possible

for this to happen? Our problem is that we always want to use our

human brains to understand God's supernatural ways. Hey, I need

to tell you man, it is killing us. We need to change our way of

thinking(mind set) and start believing in this supernatural

being(God). If you sincerely believe that God loves you(1Jn 4:8

and that He decides your destiny(including the destiny of the

world), then you would know that all prosperity meant to happen

in your life is decided by the same God

*Just believe it is well.

The main reason we give up is because we don’t want to

believe. We refuse to believe that God is the God of all

possibilities. We always want to find every natural occurrences to

suit the human mind. That will never work. We are very

familiar with the story of Jesus walking on water right? (Matt

14:26). Now, because humans are always looking for a world

explanation to suit nature, some scientists would now say that salty

water can carry weight and therefore, the water must have been

very salty for Jesus to be able to walk on it. If anyone believes in

that, I would like to see someone walk on water. LOL. The bottom

line is that we need to just believe in God and stop questioning His

power. Searching for unnecessary proof of God's power only

creates more doubts in our minds. We keep blaming God for not

helping us to believe in Him. The truth is that we are the main

problem. We keep opening the door wide open for the devil to

come into our lives and cause more doubts and confusion. We are

the problem because we have refused to just believe. We wouldn’t

lose anything by just believing. Just believe in God and never give

up on Him.

My cousin(Sean Akene) once told me that his teacher in class

told him that it is much better to believe in God and end up finding

out that He didn’t exist at all; rather than not believing in Him at

all and finding out in the end that He actually exists. Isn't that

smart? If you believed in God and ended up finding out that

He didn’t exist, you have absolutely nothing to lose(besides

needless pride) but if you never believed in God and ended up

finding out that He actually existed, then you are in serious trouble

because you will be in serious regrets. Now tell me, isn’t this

logical enough? We keep questioning in doubt as follows: “but

how?”, "how is that even possible?”, “how can I get out

of this mess?”, “how can I have kids when I am barren?”,  “how

can any man or woman ever look at me when I am so ugly?”, “how

can I get my life together after all these mistakes I did?”, “how can

I get this job when I don’t have the qualifications for it?”, “how

can I ever win this championship when I am naturally an

unfortunate person?”. Ladies and gentlemen, please, nothing at all

is impossible with God. Just believe! Just believe! Just believe! It

is well with you in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus. If any

body tells you that there is no hope for you to get out of the trouble

you find yourself in, smile and tell that person “I believe in

Jesus”. If anyone tells you that you can’t be the lawyer you have

always dreamed to be, smile and tell that person “I believe in

Jesus”. If anyone tells you that there is no hope in finding your

husband or wife, smile and tell that person “I believe in Jesus”.

If anyone tells you that you will never live to see another happy

day, smile and tell him what???

*We think God is not that smart:

One of the reasons we give up in life is because we think that

God is not smart enough to take us out of our trouble. Let us use a

little mathematical basic reasoning.

We know fully well that God formed humans from dust right?

(Gen 2:7). So technically speaking, in order to compare with God,

we should be able to use the soil to create a human body right? If

you think you are as 100% as smart as God, then you should be

able to form 100% of a human body from dust. If you think you are

as 50% as smart as God, then you should be able to form 50% of a

human body. If you think you are even 1% as smart as God, then

you should able to create just 1% of a human body part; may be a

piece of hair. Why even go to that extent? Let me go to as little as

animals. Can any human being create just 1% of an animal body

part out of nothing? Obviously not! Please don't mention 'cloning'

because cloning is not the same as creating. I am not against

cloning but we can't dare compare our little science skills with

God’s power?  The truth is that no one can clone out of nothing.

You need a substance from which the cloning will take place and

that substance is the same substance that was created by the

unshakable shaker God almighty. God created the universe out of

nothing. No one can create a simple building out of nothing, right?

So, having all this knowledge about God in mind is solid reason for

you to completely rely on him. He who created the human body in

his image is alive and has plans for you.

We know very well that most philosophers’ aim is to disprove

the existence of God. The famous saint by name Thomas Aquinas

described God as the unmoved mover. In his book “the argument

from motion”, he explains that everything on earth is moved by

something else. He further explained his theory as follows:

Assuming that there are many different forces on earth and one

force causes another force to move. When force A causes force B

to move, then another force called force C would cause force B to

move, then another force called force D will cause force C to

move, and another force called force E would cause force D to

move. This chain goes on and on until we get to the final force

which is unmovable. This force is God's supernatural force which

can not be explained by science. If you sincerely believe in this

unmoved creator, then you will never give up on him.

Guys, God really loves us. His love is beyond any human

explanation. God loves us so much that he sent his only one

begotten son Jesus to go through that pain on our behalf (see Jn

3:16). Can you send your own son to die for others? Better yet,

would you sacrifice your child or sibling or any loved one to die

for the sake of many? I believe the answer to that is 'no'.  But guess

who did it? God the father. While we were yet sinners, Jesus died

for us (Rom 5:8). How much more love do we need to accept that

God loves us so much and is with us? Therefore, my dear friends,

please do not give up on God but rely on him because he loves us

so much and with him, all is well.

*For losing love ones

We all have dear people in our lives whom we want by our side

at all times. Such people generally fall under the category ‘family’

implying that even your best friend or co-worker could be

considered your family because of how dear he or she is to you.

That is perfectly understandable but if we have lost any of such

people, we can’t hold on to that. It is okay to mourn and miss your

loved ones but please do not give up on your self because of your

loss. Let Jesus be your comforter. In fact, be rest assure that your

lost one is having a very good time in Heaven with Jesus, receiving

a peace of mind which he/she most likely was not receiving on

earth.  Therefore, on the one hand, we can mourn for our

loss(because we miss them) but on the other hand, we should

rejoice for their gain(because they are resting with joy).

Permit me to quote this biblical verse and elaborate on it.

“….believe on the Lord Jesus and thou shalt be saved, thou and

thy house”(Acts 16:31). What happened here is that Paul and Silas

were in jail and the jailors came to them and asked what they

could do to be saved? And Paul and Silas made it clear to them

that they should believe in the Lord and that if they did so, their

family or household would be saved as well. So I tell you my dear

brethren, as long as you believe, your lost family is save and

resting in Heaven. Many at times, we feel like letting every thing

go and giving up on life because of the dear loved ones we have

lost but there is one thing we need to bear in mind: it may be an

earthly loss but it is definitely a Heavenly gain. Your family is

save in heavenly places, okay? So please cheer up and do not give

up on your life dreams or on others. Let us always keep in mind

that there are so many people out there who depend on us in one

way or another. So when we for any minute think of giving up, let

us be rest assure that we are not just giving up on ourselves but

also on the people depending on us. For example you may be a

huge source of joy to your earthly father. Every time he sees you

happy, he is also happy. So when you decide to give up on yourself

and feel sad at all times, you are also killing your father’s joy.

Also, assuming you are a doctor or nurse and you had a patient

with whom you were really close. One day this patient loses his

life and then you feel really bad to the point of wanting to give up.

It is only humane(and okay) for you to mourn and feel bad but

please don’t give up on your career because there are many

patients out there who depend so much on you. The moment you

give up, many more lives could be lost and your pain will even be

aggravated. Please rely on Jesus and he will comfort you for ever.

Are you familiar with the 'Ben Carson story'? This is a

real life story of one of the best medical surgeons in USA by name

Doctor Ben Carson. According to the book 'gifted hands' by Ben

Carson and Cecil Murphey(2011), this gentlemen grew up in a

poor home, struggled through racial discrimination in school, and

was even mocked at by his school mates on a number of instances.

"I found capping an embarrassing and painful

experience...Capping was always done within earshot of the

victim, and the best targets were the kids whose clothes were a

little out of style...I was a special target"(Carson & Murphey

2011). As you can see, Ben was ridiculed by his mates at the time

little did they know what God had in stock for him. He went

through much more pain and struggle but his mom was always

there to keep him moving. "When she believed in something, she

held on and wouldn't quit...or one of her favorites: 'you just ask the

Lord and he'll help you'"(Carson & Murphey, 2011). Doctor

Benjamin Carson graduated from the medical school of the

university of Michigan after which he became a neurosurgeon at

the John hopkins university in Baltimore found in Maryland, USA.

He was the very first neurosurgeon to separate a pair of siamese

twins(still babies) whose heads were joined from birth.

Imagine this possibility: after all the racial disfavor, insults,

and hardship he experienced as a child, doctor Carson still did not

give up on himself and because of this, God used him to save many

innocent children’s lives. Among these lives include the lives of a

set of twins in Germany whose heads were joined at birth. My dear

friends, I tell you, don’t you ever give up. God has a special plan

for you.

Those with so much pain

Ladies and gentlemen, there is a general tendency that advice is

easily given when those giving the advice don't know what the

others(victims) are actually going through. But in this case, I want

you all to know that I sincerely understand what you are going

through because, I in particular, went through a lot of pain myself.

In fact, one of the reasons I am inspired to write these words is

because I went through pain but I was able to overcome with the

help of only one man; Jesus Christ. The Holy scripture says "the

Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with

peace" (Ps 29:11). My dear friends, Jesus blesses us with peace.

And I write this to you to tell you that, that same peace took my

pain and worry away. One of the most important things anybody

can ever have is a peace of mind. So I challenge you; irrespective

of your situation right now, open your heart to Jesus and receive

that same awesome peace.

*Those with job loss:

PLease, don’t worry about your job loss. Okay? If you lost your

job for no justified reason(for instance layoff, a co-worker set you

up, on pregnancy leave, mere misunderstanding), then you were

not destined to work for that company. Your destiny lies in God’s

hands. Talk to Him(in prayer) and ask Him to please make His

plan for you known. Regardless of what company or school or state

you work for, the real employer is the creator- Jehovah. Pastor

Creflo Dollar once said “the stock market doesn’t move God, God

moves the stock market”. I guess that statement implies that wall

street doesn’t move God, God moves wall street. Any private or

public company can stumble but God always remains standing.

Not that I wish for any bad thing(God forbid) to occur but the fact

is that the job market in any country could go down to zero percent

but God will always be standing. In other words, God is

unshakable. The Bible says that in the beginning was God(see Gen

1:1) but we fail to understand that before that beginning was God.

God was the before-beginning, God was the beginning, God is the

today, God is the end, and God is the after-end. So you see, God is

all round the clock. Therefore we must solely rely on Him for

everything in life and after life; including the need for jobs, quality

education, spouses, houses, joy, peace of mind, love. etc. I have

heard many people ask this question before "how did God come

about"? Honestly, we should never ask this particular question and

just accept who God is. The tendency is that when we keep asking

this question, we tend to disbelieve and then our faith goes down

the drain. It is only the devil who brings this question to mind to

have us confused. The universe itself is a mystery, let alone God's

existence. The human brain is too little to understand God's

mystery and therefore, we should just accept Him and believe.

At 26 years of age, there was a period of time where I had no job

for over six months and I was flat broke. The job market was so

hard, I even applied for DC unemployment benefits(as a former

DC employee at a cvs store) and I was denied the benefits for an

unknown reason, I was managing in my parents basement(thank

God for the most adorable parents), and my kid brother Nana and

my parents were helping to pay my bills(car insurance, health

insurance, life insurance, phone bill, student loans.etc).  At first, I

felt really bad and discouraged about life but then, I remembered

who I was - a son of the true living God. In other words, I

remembered that I was a young man who had completely accepted

Jesus in his heart and who was ready for life’s battle. So I became

more encouraged and kicked all my worries to the curb and started

living a very comfortable and worry-free life. Friends and relatives

were so amazed at the fact that I was always happy even though I

had an empty bank account. I was even happier than some folks

with huge pay checks. That alone is a clear proof that happiness is

from God, not from your job or bank account. I recall my cousin

“Junior Akene” once telling me that if he was in my shoes, he

would probably hang himself for going through a lot. Lol. You see,

the truth is when you have sincerely accepted Jesus is your heart,

the Holy Spirit(which is Jesus everywhere), works in you and with

you through every circumstance in your life, good or bad.

*Those with financial difficulty

Let me begin with this by saying that financial breakthrough is

not your hard-earned money, it is your God-earned money. Our

heavenly father is responsible for your financial success. You

will receive financial breakthrough in the mighty name of Jesus

but all you have to do is declare it and receive it. Simply make

your demands known to God and talk to Him sincerely. Even

though He already knows our problems, He still expects us to ask

(see Matt 7:7). God is the wise God and He has made everything

available for us if only we just ask Him and believe. The Bible

says that God will provide our needs according to His riches in

glory(see Phil 4:19b). If you truly believe that God owns

everything in heaven and earth, then you wouldn’t have the least

doubt that He can provide. Think about it for a minute. The one

who created the entire universe, created the human body(which

includes many complicated body parts), created the animals, land,

sea, water, and air; has promised to provide your needs according

to His riches in glory. He has told us to merely ask and believe.

How hard is that? What is really stopping us from merely putting

this into practice? Guys, please let us not give the devil any

chance. The moment we start worrying over little things, we grief

the Holy Spirit that lives inside of us and make the evil spirit

happy. Recall that all your problems bundled up together is

absolutely nothing to God. When you worry about finances, do you

know how God responds to that? God is like “well, I can’t help this

one. He is worrying too much about simple finances”. Please listen

to me folks. God can make you a millionaire overnight if He wants

to. All He wants is for us to trust in Him and His will for us will be

done in due time; according to His time. Have faith and see the

marvelous things that will happen to you. Jesus said “seek first the

kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be

given to you as well(Matt 6:33). Think about this sentence for a

minute. Jesus didn’t say “seek second the kingdom of God”. He

said “seek first the kingdom of God” and then everything else will

follow.

*Those with lost(dead) loved ones:

There are many folks out there who have lost close relatives,

friends, co-workers, spouses, and still feel bad and discouraged

about life. Please do not give up. There is one true comforter out

there; His name is Jesus. Please try him out. You need to meet the

real Jesus and get into a personal relationship with Him; by

trusting and believing in Him. Recall that the bible clearly says

“Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted”(Matt

5:4). So it is very okay and normal to mourn for your loved ones

when they pass away. We are human and so we suffer the

consequences of losing dear ones coupled with the fact that we are

going to miss them for a long time until we see them in heaven.

But here is my point. Mourning for a period of time is as far as it

goes. Please, we can’t hold ourselves back because of our loss.

Although Jesus implied that it was okay to mourn, He also said “let

the dead bury their own dead, go thou and publish abroad the

kingdom of God”(Lk 9:60). My dear brethren in the Lord, it is okay

to mourn and miss their presence because we have lost loved ones

but please we can’t afford to give up. When you think of

completely giving up because of a dear friend or sibling who died,

ask yourself this question “Would my bereaved friend or sibling

really want me to give up on myself. As he sees me from heaven,

is he happy with my attitude”? That is a question we should

reflect on. If you want to give up on your life endeavors

(job, family, friends, projects, education), and don’t feel like doing

them anymore, don’t do them for yourself then. Do them for the

sake of the loved one(s) who passed away. Better yet, do them for

the sake of  Jesus. Continue with what so ever thing it is you left

off. Do it and dedicate it to your bereaved friend, sibling, or Jesus

and uphold His legacy on earth while you still can.  You

can’t abandon God’s plan for you. Okay? Remember, your friend

is in heaven resting and having fun. So please don't worry; let Jesus

be your comfort and strength.

So to all those who have lost dear people in their lives, I

challenge you to get back up and fight as kings and priests

on this earth. God has made us kings to have dominion over this

earth and priests to commune in fellowship with Him. Don't let

satan pull you back; rely on king Jesus.

*Those with marital issues:

For those willing to get married, please listen to this carefully.

To get married is very easy but to stay married is the real

challenge. We keep saying we want God to give us Mr. right or

Mrs. right. The real question is “are we ourselves right for the

other”? You can’t be hoping for a future successful marriage when

you are probably the main problem. Pastor John Hagee once said:

if you want success in marriage, you need to carry success into

marriage”. Success doesn’t just come from the sky. We need to

walk into a marriage home with a gentle heart and a willingness to

succeed in every circumstance and come across every obstacle in

the name of our Lord and savior Jesus. The Bible says “marriage is

the union of one woman and one man”(Gen 2:18). This union is a

holy consecration designed by God. Therefore, if we act in line

with God’s word, there is absolutely no need to give up but to rely

on Him. So, please don’t give up because your spouse is coming

along. According to His watch, God will send you the one who will

share in your good and bad moments. In fact, stop thinking about

marriage and strongly believe your turn is coming. When I say

'stop thinking about it', it doesn’t mean you have given up. No!

The more you think of something over and over, the more worried

you become. So, the way to go about it is not to strain or think

about it at all. God is in control of your destiny and He will favor

you every step of the way.

For already married couples, please listen carefully. You have

got to trust in the Lord. Pastor Creflo Dollar once said that “every

marriage needs a third party and that party is Jesus”. The only

way a married couple will succeed is when the couple stands firm

in Jesus. Rehabilitation is okay but won’t solve the problem,

therapy is okay but won’t solve the problem, psychics are not okay

and won’t solve the problem, arguments are not okay and won’t

solve the problem, money is okay but won’t solve the problem,

love is definitely okay but won’t solve the problem, even children

are okay but won’t still solve the problem. You both have got to

try somebody, his name is Jesus Christ. The only solution to any

successful marriage is sincere trust in Jesus. I know by now, some

married couples are saying "ahhh, this guy is talking nonsense. We

don't know Jesus but our family is doing just fine". Let me tell you

something. There is a difference between doing just fine and

actually doing fine. Also, there is a difference between doing fine

in our eyes and doing fine in God's eyes. Everything may be going

on well in your household but if you invited Jesus, who knows how

much better your family would be doing? Sometimes, couples feel

like their relationship is perfect, not knowing the big trouble that is

coming their way in the future. I am not condemning anybody or

wishing bad things to happen to any married couple(God forbid

that). All I am saying is that Jesus(God the son) knows every

circumstances you will come across and He is willing to be in

charge of your marriage if and only if you sincerely invite Him

into your relationship with opened arms. Now, am I saying that

married couples who trust in Jesus don't have problems in their

lives? No! But here is the difference: A couple that has a personal

relationship with Jesus will always have a peace of mind

regardless of how huge their problem is. A couple that trusts so

much in Jesus will not worry about a bill or financial difficulty or

robbery or any problem because of the Christ who still watches

over them. Bear in mind that when you go through struggle in life,

it doesn't mean Jesus is dead or Jesus is ignoring you. His ways are

simply different from ours and His time is different from our time.

We operate in the natural realm but Jesus operates in the

supernatural realm. I therefore encourage couples and every child

of God to exercise much patience in God. He still got your back.
